My first anime would have to be Sailor Moon. Of course I didn't know that that was anime back then... I just enjoyed the show. The same applies to Pokemon. I'm not sure which series got me hooked but I remember watching Yu Yu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo, and Zoids: Chaotic Century whenever I got home. XD; .hack//SIGN was what made me want to start buying manga though... which resulted in a sudden spike in my anime-ness too.
