Not sure. I watched DB & DBZ as a kid, though it wasn't the first anime I watched, and neither the one that got me hooked, I'd believe. In fact, while earlier anime exposed to me had more of an impact on my future watching anime, I suppose maybe what got me really hooked was giving Cowboy Bebop another try in maybe... 2004? Something like that.

Then again, I stopped watching anime for a while until I tried Black Lagoon less than a year ago. That's when I not only liked anime, but started buying a lot.
