I don't necessarily think that Yuki supplants Rei in the "indispensable silent character" category, but I certainly like her a whole lot better.

Well, i've only seen the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, so i can't really vote. Yuki was pretty cool though, and pretty powerful when she wants to be.

Yuki all the way. She's really awesome, I love her. I love her Japanese and English voice, they are both equally amazing. I love her character songs. Especially SELECT?, it's so pretty. So is Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite.

Rei for sure.
I've seen both series and actually I'm an Asuka follower, I never really liked Rei that much. But she is still a better thought out character than Yuki Nagato.

See if they are still making Yuki figures monthly 12 years after Haruhi!
