Blade of the Immortal has been the only manga I read consistently.

I highly recommend the following if you haven't already read them:

*Bleach: longer series but is full of twists and surprises!
*Fruits Basket: Little lighter series but has lots of colorful characters and plot twists

I have so many more but these are the two I am currently enthralled in.
( I'm really ion the middle of like 12 almost!)

Vampire knight <--- Real cool plot and lots of twists if thats the sorta thing you like.
Fruits Basket <--- I dont really like this one much it has an okay plot but there's hardly and fighting.
Akagami no Shirayukihime <--- havnt read it but my friends say its good.

Just from what I can think of at the moment, I'd recommend Yubisaki Milk Tea or Bitter Virgin. I'd recommend Bitter Virgin especially. NHK ni Youkoso would still be considered humorous by women, I suppose...
To reinforce what's been said, Vampire Knight is nice.

want to read some naoki urasawa? try reading pluto. i think it's his latest series.

some other titles: amatsuki, ookiku furikabute, doubt by tonogai yoshiki, deadman wonderland, dolls by naked ape.

how about u take a break frm traditional manga, since it seems like you've been reading it a lot lately? i recommend u read the novel versions of Only the Ring Finger Knows. its about a gay couple trying 2 go thru the hardships of their reletionship. its sounds cheesy, i know. but if u like romantic stuff, this is the thing 2 read. the novel versions r 3 books long. i dont know how long the actual manga is. just thought u might wanna take a break frm pictures.
