Well, I watched Sailormoon and Dragon Ball Z as a kid, which lead to me reading the manga. Then I got into other manga, and decided to watch the anime accompaniments. It was all over for me after that. I think my big "turning point" anime was Card Captor Sakura. XD

Not a clue. I think it was Hellsing. I had been watching anime before then, like DBZ and Pokemon, but counted them as just "Cartoons".

Honestly, I started with Full Moon Wo Sagashite...because at that time my friend recommended it, and at the time I thought it was awesome. Looking back, though...it wasn't. There are so many more good anime and manga out there. But that was the first and the one that started my anime/manga craze. =)

I usually watched DBZ and loved it for what it was: Pure action.

Thankfully toonami also opened my eyes to Blue Sub no. 6 and Outlaw star and i started to discover a whole new side to anime, called PLOT.

Then i lost touch again because anime seemed kind of predictable and i was getting bored of japanese lessons behind every episode, ie. work hard and you will win every time. At that point i fell upon a show called Cowboy Bebop. Since then ive learnt to pick out the good animes from the bad ones. So i crossed a number of lines

Dragonball Z is what made me give other animes a shot. It was my hook so to speak. Wasn't the first anime that I watched either. Speed Racer was the first, but it didn't make me want to watch more. Yakno? So Dragonball Z was the anime that opened up that world to me.
