i think blood is realistic, so i like it. i also think it adds a shocking element to the violence that otherwise has trouble landing a major impact on the viewer.

I don't really see a difference with or without it. I think it might come across to people as very violent and wrong, but I don't see a problem with it.

Yeah, If there is blood, and it gets eddited out.. Its so fail!

I like blood in anime mainly for realism purposes. Although the gore-fest that is Elfen Lied was awesome.

I do honestly like a bit of blood in anime every now and then, however I have seen some outrageous exsanguination in it as well, if anything I think that the hypovolemia is of a far greater amount than would actually be displayed in reality.

So in hindsight although it does add an approximation of realism I would like to see the levels of high blood loss toned down if anything.

P.S: i have always wanted to use the word exsanguination in discussion but never had the opportunity, and as for hypovolemia, just a new one I found which means (blood loss).

THey should leave it in. Makes no sense to remove it from a show as you lose some of the impact. If the show was aimed at kids their wouldnt be blood in the first place.

I don't usually remember/notice blood in animes that much. It's alright IMO.

On this I would argee with Dragonlady. While it isn't the best thing it adds more reality to an anime

Elfen lied had too much blood in it while i liked the anime for it's plot I cannot see that again and again coz of the blood in that

Have you ppl seen The Law of Ueki? Its bloodless. Impossible, how can a life and death match only give scratches and bruises. Come on, not even one drop of blood ?!
Me and my brother used to make laugh at the anime when they kill someone the person just drop dead with no blood. (No he did not drown or suffocate, he got slashed by a sword and there's no blood even the clothes still intact).
Finally, there's Bleach (not that I'm complaining). Its just that blood spurts out from their wounds like water from a fire hydrant. Do they refill their blood somewhere coz that much blood would take at least 50% of the body's blood supply. Its weird, how can a dead person (Shinigami) can have blood? I thought blood is only for the living. What do their blood do?
