Default Manga vs. Anime

I just created this thread for fun to see what people thought about whether anime is better than manga or vice versa.

I personally prefer anime, because one gets color and voice, and also many times action scenes are hard to follow in manga.

So, manga vs. anime?

I think it depend on gerne of the anime. For comedy ,action and mecha I think I would prefer anime. On the other hand, romance and sport I would prefer manga.

From what I've seen, mangas most of the time has a much stronger or better storyline than the anime. Sailor moon for example. The manga of Episode 1 explains more than the anime of Episode 1 (Unless you have the subbed anime of the episode, that one almost follows the manga.)

manga, in my opinion seems to have less of a storyline and usually more hentai than anything else, of course not all of them are like that, but i mostly watch the studio ghibli anime. and i thought that manga was anime?

manga's just a company who publishes anime and anime is the japanese style of cartoons, so technically both of them are anime.

Almost, it's the cartoon version of a comic(in this case manga)

I personally think that it depends on the situation.
I prefer mangas if the story is thoughtprovoking- than it's much better if there's no sound, BGM or flashy animation so I can concentrate better on the story and create my own thoughts.
Also a good point- you can easely stop reading a manga if you want but stop watching during a movie?
But on the other hand I think most of the anime adaptations of mangas are much better than the originals.

Smile Manga~Anime

I personally find that manga offers a more clearer plot or storyline and more detail in design and such than you'll see in most anime. But anime is also great too in that of the colour and voices and its ANIMATED!
In the end I can't really decide which ones better~ theyre both great forms of entertainment

Well, it's hard for me to decide between the two. After all, anime is in color and has voices, while most manga is in black and white. However, I happen to like both, namely because it's a bit easier to follow the plot in a manga than an anime. That's just my personal opinion.
