Default What it means to "subscribe"

Since there are apparently a few members who don't have a clue to what it means to subscribe to something (newspaper, magazine, etc.) and seeing as how there are some members who decided to be hateful and post demanding and threatening posts... let me thoroughly explain it to you.

subscribe
Definition: receive or obtain by regular payment; "We take the Times every day"

subscribe
Definition: pay (an amount of money) as a contribution to a charity or service, especially at regular intervals; "I pledged a month to my favorite radio station"

Subscription
Definition: The act of subscribing.

When you subscribe to something, be it downloads, magazines, newspapers, cd's, dvd's, internet services, etc., you are agreeing and taking on the responsibility of keeping track of your subscription and canceling that subscription when you no longer need or require the services of said subscription. If you do not cancel the subscription before the renewal date, then you can not blame the provider of the subscription for causing your bank account to become overdrawn because they took out the renewal fees, you can only blame yourself. I know this is true and a fact because it has happened to me with WeatherBug. I subscribed to the premium account. I didn't know that there was a yearly renewal date or when it was, and when it came time for it to be renewed, they took the money out of my account which caused me to have a $35 overdraft charge. The only way I could blame WeatherBug and get my money back as well as my overdraft fee is if I had canceled my contract and printed it out. Then it would have became their fault.

So the moral of this is to be sure you know what it means to subscribe before you do. Because no one is responsible for it but your own self.
