I like sub titels because you can understand more about whatever its about. I watched Spirited away dubber then sudded and I understood it alot better Subtitled. And the timing for the words is better.

I gotta say sub, because the wrong voice and way things are said can really change how a character's personality is veiwed. Way to go subs.

P.S. I agree that Spirited Away was better subbed as well, Chii-chan.

The original version usually sounds best so, subtitles all the way. There are however a couple of dubs I like quite a bit (maybe because I got too used to them) namely, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragon Ball (including Z and GT)and Neon Genesis Evangelion (as long as it's not brazillian portuguese).

I can't stand the NGE dubbing mostly Shinji. Now I will say that sometime the dubbed voices can make it easier to understand, but I still like subbing better, it make me feel closer to the original. Uncensored dubbing is lightly acceptable, but only the really good stuff

I prefer suns. It's one of the ways I practice my Japanese:P But subs are better anyway for pretty much the same reasons as everyone above me put.

im with the subbed crowd here, the original is usually so much better than the dubbed. im gonna pick on DBZ a little bit now... i mean, i love DBZ and all, but when i finally got to see the original version of the Trunks saga, i was like... WOW.. its SO much better than that stupid Cartoon Network dub! Sephy, if you get the chance, definately check it out :yes:

Subtitles all the way! They help me learn some Japanese words ^_^ You gotta love the subtitles ^_^

I would watch something dubbed, but I would much rather have it subbed.

I'm going to go along and say subtitles. I like it just because I love japanese! And I get to hear the true voice actors. I don't know, it just feels more authentic.

SUBTITLES!!!

God, MOST American Voice acting is horrible. The truly only good ones I've heard are from Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing. Not too many others shine out.

Subs ar also better cause Americans always input words that don't belong or the message is lost.
