Gorier than the first one, although the first one had an otherworldly feel to it more than the second.

I saw AVPR and I didn't like it. When they saw they were making another, I was excited because I liked the first one, but this one was disappointing. I didn't like the story.

i only saw the first i heard the second ones story sucked but the action and suspense balanced it out

I haven't seen the newer one but the 1st one managed to kill both series in a most ridiculous manner.

Paul Anderson has only made 1 really good movie in my opinion, and that's the first Resident Evil.
