Is it true that firefox is more secure than internet explorer?

firefox is more secure - and mozila are really quick at identifying and patching vulnerabilities

I wont recommend switching to FF3, cause its new engine. New bugs, etc. Just wait a while.
Instead, in order to seriously boost the security, you should use some kind of sandboxing (for MSbased OSes) or consider switching to the open source platform like Linux.

yeah firefox is better than IE in a lot of ways, especially in blocking popups and ads. Firefox 3 doesnt feel much different than 2... but mb thats just me
