There was an issue with the downloads server hitting really high loads for no reason. I still haven't found out what the reason is, but now apache restarts itself everytime it hits that bad ass high load that would give any server tech a tan. So if you experience really slow download speeds, wait like 3 minutes and try again.

i think the slow downloads apply to only particular albums. yesterday i had no trouble on the first one, but the second was so slow that i had to just cancel it.

i dont know how the dl speed for me will be yet most likely fast

I don't know if d/l speeds are going to be an issue anymore, what with the d/l restrictions and whatnot, but after three or four failed attempts the other day I snagged a sweet little FireFox extension called Downthemall. Not only did it help the speeds, but it's also got that nice little "i remember what you were downloading" thing d/l accelerators tend to have, so I was able to pack up and resume the next day if the wireless room in my dorm got too sweltering hot (as it is currently).
Of course, this afternoon I tried to resume and got a 404 error. Dammit...

ATM I have no errors. DownloadStatusBar is an good dl ext for ff, too.

Download speed for me is fine.
