Maybe the d/l speed will be sorted once the ppl running it know what to expect each day bandwidth-wise and can accomodate it

Default port numbers

ok i don't know how the downloads are done in this site, is it off the server or is it done with torrents? cos if its done with torrents you need to mes about with your own router and make sure that the port assigned in the torrent application is the same as the one assigned in the router but if its off the server then its just slow.

It depends on many things:

1. your computer. Older computer will have less ram and stuff, so will download more slowly. Only solution here is to get a new computer.

2. nature of internet connection. Dial-up is much slower than a lan line or cable-modem. Solution: upgrade to faster connection.

3. Spam/viruses. They slow down your computer, keeping it busy with their tasks. Solution: delete all unessecary files, but preferably reformat. Windows computers suffer from windows rot. Windows rot is just the accumulation of viruses. All the hackers out there know windows is the most popular computer program, so release all their viruses for windows. They tend to accumulate over time.

4. Servers. It all depends of the servers you're tryign to download from.
A server with a lot of people tryign to download the same file will be very slow. Solution: switch servers, switch websites, or wait till another time, like 3am in the mornign, when less people will be trying to download.

5. Corrupt download. Solution: restart download.

Try any of these! Hope they worK!

i may not be in a good position to say this but
farzansohail, endow
pls dont spam
random chracters strung together do not equal a good quality post in english
you may speak a diff language where that makes sense but i dont understand it

really sorry i had to say this

anyway back to topic

u could try using an external dl manager like wellget/wxdownloadfast etc.
and integrate with firefox via flashgot
then segment your downloads to multiple parts so that they all download at the same time
this will drastically improve speeds
up to 15 times

hope this helps
and pls dont take my comments personally
