Aside from that.
I'd think the industry should make Virtual Reality Gaming available for the common house hold.
Imagine playing Shadow of the Colossus while being the hero yourself.
Or Prince of Persia with giving you the feeling, you're the one who's slowing down time.

Now that would be awesome in general.
It's not up to the industry to make VR gaming available. When VR finally becomes a reality then the companies ruch to include it in their consoles, if they can be called consoles.

However, as Human-Computer Interaction advences, not only videogames but most of the technologies we use these days including the internet will eventually change.

BTW, has anyone seen the gian XBOX room in Michael Bay's The Island? Future VGs could be something like that but you need to dedicate an entire room for gaming.

Anybody interested in the future of VR can check CNN's Future Summit:

I guess the next step is to come up with a way to let us smell our games. maybe like an instruction booklet that you scratch and sniff at particular points during a game...

A great system would be to include pain. Characters get shot in the arm, you feel pain in your arm. So you shouldn't screw up. And if character dies, well...too bad for you. At least your relatives could sue the game company for your death and get lots of money.

Uhh...with God Mode you could create a new religion and "no clip" would allow you to sneak into the women's bathrooms. Yeah...that makes sense.

I can see them making games in the future that are actually based off of historical events (interesting ones). Thus, we are guaranteed to have a moving storyline, and it's not hard to program the game to have realistic senses, because it actually happened.

I just really want a game with AI good enough that i really LIKE a character. Whatever they're doing.
Because they have an established personality. Games haven't gotten to that point yet, most personality is portayed through cutscenes and animation, not actions.
