I like katanas and oriental weapons, whips and the weapons from the onimusha warloards series.....I reallly like those.

True. Guns kill quickly and do not require any sort of skill as opposed to close range weapons.

Anncient and modern day close range weapons are where the real skill is at. They require skill and training to use. Plus they show courage because those who use them show that they are not afraid to show them selves to their opponet. Another advantage to old weapons is that for the most part they are silent. As opposed to guns witch use long range and kill people from a reltivly long distance.

Would Holsety from Fire Emblem 4 count? There's something strangely satisfying about watching an army kill themselves on a somewhat androdgynous descendant of a god.

Dunno, I just love weapons with dark elements since usually they are much cooler than holy weapon.
