I was wondering who everyone keeps in their main party and why. i know everybody contributes their own unique skills to the game, but you usually use a specific party above any others.

for me:
wakka - his overdrives, accuracy was handy
tidus - overdrives, agility was handy, and a basic all-rounder
auron - initially quite strong, armour piercing (his banishing blade was really handy at nullifying the armour of the monsters at the arena)

i only ever used lulu during the beginning of the game for her elemental spells, i suck at her overdrive, not fast enough

rikkus 'steal' isn't that important during the early stages of the game, and imo she comes in too late to sacrifice a reasonably levelled up character. i also don't like sacrificing potential weapon modification items for her 'mix'. though i still think that levelled up to a reaosnable degree, she could be a pretty good character to battle with.

one time i played it, i did level up kimahri, and i wish i didn't. he was always lagging behind the others in terms of attributes for some reason. i don't know why, and his overdrives are pathetic

i only ever liked to use yuna's aeons when i HAD to, i like the style of straight fighting, they make good shock absorbers though. anima's oblivion, the magus sisters passado and (especially) yojimbos zanmato are imo boring ways to win fights, though they do look cool.

so what does everyone else think? oh and keep in mind i'm talking about strength, ability, sphere grid potential etc... and not about personalities.

Auron - great strength! but slow, overdrive is kool and kicks butt
Yuna - summon and magic good
Tidus - I like his attack and he's fast.

To be honest they all the same depending how lv do them up.

I levelled up my entire party. Yes. my ENTIRE party had completed their and atlest one more other portion of the Sphere Grid. With Yuna, Tidus, Auron and Lulu having completed more than 3 portions. So i was pretty much a powerhouse for anyone and switched out and in appropriate characters at the right time. Love the new switch out during battle feature!!

As a general party:
Yuna - Because i'm in love with her.
Lulu - I love black magic.
Tidus - Great agility, plus a kick ass physical attacker once you add piercing to his weapons and complete Auron's portion of the grid, and has Hastega!

Tidus- damage break, does about 20000 damage every time.
Auron- Strategic reasons.
Wakka- He has limit break too, plus the status effects help.

Yuna aoens white magic
Auron attack attack!

Auron - He maybe slow with somethings but he is very strong in fighting..

Lulu - Her magic if you level her up correctly and good enough, her magic kicks ass, knowing if u leveled her up right, shell do a 9999 hp damage woohoo lol.

Yuna - Can summon Aeons, and cast white magic, like full life if you party member dies and shit.

Tidus - I use Hastega alot, and he`s the strongest in my party.
Wakka - Attack Reels, 99.999 x 12. Yay =P
Yuna - Mostly for the summons.

Tidus, Yuna, and Rikku. Dunno why, I just like this party.....probably because Rikku always ends up becoming the strongest person in my party, I suppose.

My great awesome party is this:

Lulu: She has over 1200 MP and knows bascially all the white and black magic. Very helpful.

Auron: Has his strength through the freakin' roof and is just a great defense to lie back on.

Yuna: Also has over 1200 MP and come on--she has alll the Aeons! Hehehe, watch out world!
