Well, it's generally assumed that Laguna is Squall's father, although it'sd not fully mentioned so fans were left to make theories. Also, it is Raine that would be most likely to be his mother, because Rinoa was Julia's daughter, and Laguna didn't have any children with her. It would be freaky if Rinoa was Laguna's child, then Squall would be her half-brother!

We can never know... however, we can speculate that Laguna is his father (as mentioned by a very cryptic message from Kiros and the non-speaking Ward in the Ragnarok), and Raine is his mother (due to her being his wife).

If you remember some of the flashbacks, and how Elone was explaining them, you'll notice that when Laguna was coming after Elone in Esthar, Elone actually tried to stop him (in current times, through the usage of her past-seeing ability), but could not, cus you can't change the past.

She also mentions the reason why she did that. It's because Raine was gonna have a kid and then die, and she wanted Laguna to be by her side at that time. Laguna was not there, and left at that time parent-less, that kid would've obviously been brought to an orphanage ^_^

Other pieces of info: Elone is not Raine's daughter. Raine only takes care of her, as mentioned in the Winhill flashback.

Rinoa is the daughter of Julia and General Caraway, there is no Laguna there.

theres also more evidence that laguna is squalls father. on the third disk just before you go into the lunactic pandora if you talk to kiros or ward they mention that squall looks like his mother, and that its a good thing he doesnt look like his father. laguna also has squalls card, which might imply some sort of connection between. ellone also helped raise squall at the orphanage if im not mistaken

Dude, you just know. Third disc, even when you get Squall's card from a certain character and when two of the others tell Squall who he looks like...dead give aways man.

Let's not forget that in Desert Prison a Moomba mistakes Squall for Laguna.

Ya like the posts above said, it isnt to hard to figure out who his parents are as there are many idications throughout the game. The prison was a big one for me and not to mention the ending video.

Yea, Well I personly don't know who are his perents, but I think I got a clue. In the Ragnarok in disk 3(After you pick up laguna) Laguna and kiros says that squall is like his father and not like his mother,I have a few theories regurding it but it's too long to write about it...

Ya, I think it is pretty obvious that he is Squall's father, and that Raine is Squall's, but..., if you look in the booklet that comes with the game, it says that Squall is 17, and that Laguna is 27, so unless they are talking about when you are controlling Laguna in the past, I doubt Laguna was a father at 10 years old.

It is rather confusing and I think i'm one of these people that have no idea who squalls parents were.
What about the rest of the orphanes. You know zell, Irvine, Quistis, Selphie and Mr Ego Seifer?
