FFX has better graphics, battle system, etc. But I think FFVII had a better story, better characters, and I liked the locations a little better.

i say FF7... but it is close.

Graphics:

well, here there is no compotition.... FFx has much supereior graphics (the characters blink.... were on FF7 they dont even have faces)

Music:

this is hard one.... because all of the music rocks but 7 wins here..... just about.... the sephiroth theme always gives me chills and aires theme makes me go all calm.

Bad Guys:

FFX's bad guy..... seymour... was more like a wet blanket than a bad guy... he looked ok i guess but .......no. lol

FF7's badguy however...is by far still the best Badguy i have ever seen ever in any film, game, book anything! Plus he looked the don.

replay ability:

FF7's repaly ability is stupidly high....i must have played it at least 16 times now lol.

FFX's however is about half as replayabel... maybe due to no world map ....who knows

FF7 wins obviously.
FF7 didn't need good graphics to be a great game, it was just good the way it was.As for the battle system,I'll have to agree with you. I like the whole seeing when was ur turn, and switching characters thing. But FF7's one wasn't bad either.
FF7 had better music,a nice twisted plot and had some of the most lovable characters in it.

For better story VII but for better graphics and battle system X.

Better graphix in FFX but that's cos it was made for the PS2 not the original PS. From what i have seem of FFVII, it has a pretty damn cool story line. i didn't much like the story line of FFX.
so..i'd say they're about even.
