The SNES and PS2 are so close, but the SNES edges out the PS2 only slightly. Square seemed to be doing everything right, Rare and Nintendo were good buddies, and even Enix was doing fairly well by itself. *sigh* I miss those days.

Probably the Saturn. Might also be a product of the time it existed. Import gaming was a big deal at the time, and the internet wasn't as prevalent, so finding out about games, tracking down overseas releases, visiting import shops, finding the right mem/RAM cart to let you max out the machines potential while allowing for mod-free import play . . . it was an whole experience, stuff beyond the machine itself. Besides, it had Panzer Dragoon (1,2 and Saga), VirtualOn, VirtuaFighter (1,Remix, 2) Fighter's Megamix, Radiant Silvergun, the good version of the original Toshinden, Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, Burning Rangers, Grandia, the good version of the only decently fun DBZ game ever made (IMO ;-p), Cyberspeedway, all the great 2D Capcom fighters of that age, NiGHTs, Last Bronx, that weird fighting game based on VF2 that had characters based on the winners of some VF competition in Japan . . . I apparently can just go on and one.

Good times.

i'll give you all of that on the saturn i was close to giving that over dreamcast but i think dreamcast just really pushed a lot further and brought us much of what we have today and its the only system i was so excited about that I stood in line and bought it on the first day it came out

I agree with Taya. N64 and PS2 are the best. I haven't played enough games on the Wii to put it on my top list yet.
