square enix is one of my favorite video game corperations

I loved ffX-2!
But I admit, not because of the gamepaly.
I liked the campy girly aspect, and I loved how it was like some lame 90's tv show. Really, it was hilariously good. And the soundtrack! It was like a 70's cop show soundtrack! I think people hate it mostly because they re used to FFs taking themselves real seriously.
Or they're too "manly" to appreciate it.
It is a bit of an acquired taste.

They keep making new one's because, as sales are saying, that's what the RPG community wants, hell, that's what I want, it's always been good and now since sakaguchi has left the design team he hasn't had the authority to say "NO NEW BATTLE SYSTEM! ATB ONLY!"
And since then the team's been more experimental with it.
11 was an MMO, 12 was MMO style, 13 is kind of hard to judge right now, but it looks very good, and versus apparently will have a kingdomhearts-style battle system.

FF7 is still my fav game of all time...if they remade that id prolly buy it on the release date, just 2 c if they screwed it up

I guess they got a good thing going ever since.

Each new FF games brings in a new world and story (not counting spin-offs).

They keep makin' em, becasue people keep buyin' em! D:

As someone wrote before, they're sitting on a gold mine, so the natural thing to do would be to mine it. They're raking in cash as they keep on making more and more FF games.
