Remaking & porting older FF games is a great idea. However it can get pretty rediculous. How many times do they need to re-release FF 1&2? It's been remade a total of 8 times. & the only ones worth playing are the PSP & GBA remakes. & with the current trend being rereleasing 2D FFs in 3D, they need to hurry up & start a 3D FF6.

Aww, c'mon... everyone needs time to play dress-up every once in a while, right? No? T-T

Seriously though, i played the crap out of that game. Totally confused why everyone hated it.

Confused? Lemme clear things up. That game sucked becasue:

1. It completely ruined the story of FF X-2.
2. Turned the innocent Rikku and the calm and quiet priestess Yuna into two super extroverted sluts.
3. For the first time in the Final Fantasy history, the music sucked (a few tracks are exceptions).
4. The newly introduced characters were just stupid.
5. The story had no twists at all and was completely pointless.
6. The new Blitzball game sucked.
7. The voiceovers and the scenes were completely out of sync (in the English version, at least).
8. Too short for an RPG game.

On the positive side, the movies were still as crsip and beautiful as ever and the battle system wasn't that bad.

I don't say the game is crap itself, but considering that it was a sequel to one of the greatest games ever made, we (the fans) expected more than just dressing up girls and hunting some weird video recording orbs or spheres or whatever they are called.

Even if you think so, it's still your review and your opinion.
I mean Squenix isn't some amazing God of Gaming that can keep churning out awesome that EVERYONE can love. Like FF12. Some people liked it but a lot of people thought it sucked because of the combat.
...But I agree with you, I didn't like it because of the character set up. Dressing up was pretty fun x3 and a little fan service/eye-candy never hurt the masses. I mean, even I thought the girls were cute and fun to look at

I really like the newer final fantasty games. and I think they really push the battle systems and graphics for RPGs along. they kinda... set a standard, and I'm glad it's a decently high standard.

It is my opinion, but as far as I know, many other fans of the series disliked the game. I don't have high expectations of Square-Enix. Back when it was Square(soft), it was another story.

They could've done something like FF13, two different games in the same world. They could use Yuna, but not with the same background of that of FFX.

The eye candy part, try playing Rumble Roses and DOA games. They do it better than FFX-2.

I liked FF from 1 up to 7, but after that they seem to put less and less thought into there games.
13 looks good so far, but can't know till I play it. I hope for the best!
I would like to see a re-make of FFVIII and IX, but just in hopes of them really doing a great job so I can like them as much as the 1st 7 games.

Yea, but you don't get the same character development. It's why Japan loves Doujinshi. I think... In things like DOA, character development is kept to a minimum. Players have been through a lot with Yuna and as a consequence, may have strong feelings to oogle more than should be appropriate. Mai waifu syndrome.

Square lost the feel of final fantasy games when they merge with Enix, well probably Enix is at fault here.
