I believe in a fair fight sonic would hand mario his ass. But I would still be rooting for the Italian plumber all the way!

If mario games had italian music, it'd be still cooler, but I'll go with sonic if there was a fight between them both. And I hate mushrooms

That is a cold question. In 2D I would have to go with Sonic, but in 3D it would to be the plumber.

Of course this could all change if Sonic Unleashed turns out to be good.

If you pulled Mario out of his best game out, and Sonic out of his best and had then fight till the death. who would win?
I think Sonic would. how can he lose, he's many many times faster then anything Mario has ever had to fight in any of his games. Plus Sonic if for some odd unknown reason hell freezes over and Mario finds a way to come close to taking out the Blue guy, Sonic can just go Super, hell melts, Mario dies, and for some reason Sonic takes off with the Princess...
