I don't think it sucks as such, it's just way overrated. Compare it to Metroid Prime, and MP winns hands down.

I liked the original Halo, I felt it was a generally accessible game.. didn't like 2 so much.. but still gonna get 3 for the hell of it... meh.

i wouldn't say it sucks. i had fun with it when it was new, and it stayed fun until i beat it. and playing with other people is always fun. the story was intruiging too.

I'm sorry, but I disagree.
I love Halo, the storyline is nothing short of amazing. Very vast and epic. I haven't come across a game that has come CLOSE to it.

(Then again, I really haven't played Metroid Prime, but I still don't believe it can match it).

If you play it once a year with friends, then it's fun to do

Many people "hate" it just because it's one of the most popular shooters out there...anyways I like Halo although I'm not addicted and I'm sure it's just over hyped. It's fun and all but it's nothing that's really legendary about it. Story line is alright although not one of the greatest and gameplay is fun.

halo 3 single player isnt that great. however, the multiplayer online is the best. if you play by yourself you might not have that much fun. its best when u play with a group of friends.
