You should get both. They're way too different. PSP - nice picture, powerful hardware, internet. DS - interesting game ideas (touch-screen, microphone, etc). I got PSP and I'm not diosappointed. But I'm sure gonna buy DS someday.

If you are looking for a gaming console, go for the DS. If you want a multimedia player, go for the PSP. I only have a DS, basically because I already have and iPod and I don't want to have to buy all my movies in UMD format just so I can watch them on a tiny screen.

Thumbs up DS

Personally, i don't have a PSP. Even if i did, i would say go for the DS. Nintendo is cool because almost all there systems can connect together.

I have both. I think it depends on you're age a little. PSP is a Playstation produced consel, obviously, therefore the games are a little more for "older" people (When I say older I mean like 14-?), because, well the games have a higher rating. On the other hand, the DS has games that have the rating of E--well most of them. Ergo, if you want more intense games, I would go with the PSP. And opposite with the DS.

Another thing to think about is what YOU want. Do YOU want awesome graphics but games that aren't amazing? Or do you want graphics that are fine but games that are good, with cool features such as the touch screen, the microphone, and the dual screen? (This doesn't apply to all games or all people.)

The game selection is also a factor. The DS had a whole swig full of games, while the PSP has some, but not as many.

It all depends on what YOU want; we can't decide what YOU want for YOU. Do you get my point?
I personally like the DS better. But that's probably because I'm a Nintendo fan--not so much with Playstaion--and I like the games better. But YOU must choose. YOU have to pay for it (or a gardian).
YOU should peruse through the games of each handheld and decide which has the most you are interested in.

I hope I have helped YOU. haha

I would say DS because even though the hardware is weaker, if you include the GBA games, the DS has a MONSTROUS game library.
