Welcome to the new forums mods.
Modding System
The modding system has changed to further simplify things. From now on you are all global moderators, meaning you do not mod any specific forum. You can, however, decide to mod certain forums more than others, but you all have the freedom of choosing what to mod (unless a forum is in need of modding badly).
Warning System
The warning system is slightly different then the old one, but it has more useful features. To warn a member, when you are viewing their post of offense, simple click the link under their postbit information that reads "[Add Warning]".
From there you can chose what the type of warning is, what the Comment you wish to give them is (they will be able to read it both in their PM that is sent to them, and when they go to view their Warnings List, so its good to explain to them what they did wrong).
You also have the option of sending them an E-mail, but don't do this unless they recieve a warning 10 points or over.
If you have any questions, you can either check to see if they'be been answered
HERE. If it has not been answered already and involves modding, you may post the question here. If it involves the forums in general, please post the questions in that thread
Delete Button
You can now delete posts by simply clicking the "delete" button next to the Quote, Edit, and Report buttons. Please use this feature with caution, there is a pop-up verifications just incase you accidently click it, but still... be careful where you click
Double Posters
You should see a large decrease in the amount of double posters now. There is a script on the forums that detects when a member is double posting, and automatically merges the new post with the old, therefore eliminating the double posts.
There is a timer effect though, so after a certain time gap between posts a user will be able to double post (I am currently working that out of the script), so still be on the look out, but it should make life a lot easier.
Report Center
There is a new function called the report center (the link is in the welcome panel). On the old forum, when a member clicked the Report button on a post, it would send an email to any mod who was online at the time. When a member clicks the Report button for this new system, it puts a notice in the report center for that thread, so any mod can check the report center for reported threads.
Once the problem has been solved, the mod can mark the report as resolved, and the report will be taken off of the report center list.
