haha, if you drown it and forget about it, they get "soaked" meaning they get a bit soggy.
Never fear! just stir fry it with some diced veggies and egg, you get fried noodles =D

I'm happy that there aren't any fast food restaurants in my small town. They are making fat pigs from people

I'm actually a pretty damn good cook. Learned from the best, my mom of course.
I'm a way better cook than my wife, but she'll never admit it. She can bake, I can cook. We make a good team.

The fail-safe cooking rice method!

1.) Put however much rice you want in a saucepan.
2.) Level it out real nice with a couple shakes.
3.) Add water until it reaches about 1 inch above the level of the rice (I usually just stick my finger in the water, the tip just touching the rice, and wait till it hits the inside crease of my first knuckle. I'ts shy of an inch but seems to work well.)
4.) Put it on the stove, uncovered, on medium until it looks like boiling mud pits (almost all the water gone)
5.) Stir that sucker real quick with a plastic spatula. Just enough to ensure there isn't any rice sticking to the bottom)
6.) Cover it, turn the heat to low and let it cook for 20 minutes.
7.) Eat.

It's not the most conventional method, but it works great if you don't want to buy a rice cooker. You might have a little bit of rice skin on the bottom but I've never had it straight burn on me, and a soak while I eat seems to loosen it up for easy cleanup.

Sometimes I add a little onion and garlic and chicken boullion if I'm feeling fancy.
