I know there are a couple of UFC fans here but is anyone going to watch the next Pride FC event on december 31. Its a damn good card so far; Fedor, Crocop, Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio Shogun, and the leader of Brazilian Top Team are scheduled to fight. Opinions?

As far as I know, we don't get Pride in the United Kingdom, just UFC the night after it's aired in USA.

Pride is much better than UFC imho. Kicks and stops on a downed opponent are legal, elbows to the head are illegal, and the fighters get stood up quicker if they aren't doing shit on the ground. There have been countless times where a UFC fight ended prematurely due to a damn cut opened by an elbow or shitty fighters who win matches by decision, i.e. Tito Ortiz and holding on to the damn cage to keep Silva in the half guard.

Crocop is the meanest fucker alive. I wish I could get the video of the whooping he did on Wanderlei for the absolute championship. I think the guy hold a seat of office in Croatia or some shit.

Yeah. He used to be really heavily into politics, but withdrew kinda recently. The Wanderlei fight was one of the most intense I'd ever seen. I might have video on my harddrive. The guy's kicks are absolutely brutal. I'd rather be shot.

It's been awhile since the payperview fight but I remember Wanderlei taking kick after kick to the midsection to the point that he started crunching in to absorb some of the impact. Then that last kick came in and instead of going for the body, it drilled him in the damn head. I new he was out but a little bit of me thought he was going to get up and mount a huge comeback.

I think he may have a rematch against Fedor in the upcoming event. The first fight was good but Crocop just got tired.
