It's not just ADHD actually, but I don't like discussing things beyond that ;-)

Talked to a rec. officer 'tother day, if I go through all together its about 6 years of training, I'll go through Navy, Then RM, Then SBS, then SBS Diver, I'll be in at higher than officers pay...
Theman, I mean- What IS ADHD? Its been more than 48 hours since I slpet! Oh yeah baby.

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder? xD A lot of the diagnoses of it are bullshit though, it's got to do with lazy doctors saying "He acts funny during classes? Let's diagnose him with ADHD then!" I had my diagnosis when I was four or something, and I've yet to encounter a doctor who dissented with it

Anyway, a serious post.
I like to think I'm not a coward, up to this point in my life for the most part I'm confident that I'm not although sometimes when I think too much about things I have my doubts. Anyway, I like to think I'm the kind of person that whose actions would reflect what they think and feel, one who would do the right thing. So if we were being attacked, World War 2 style, and there was a draft, I like to think I'd step up and get on with it but until I'm actually in that situation I can't honestly say what I'd do, perhaps the fear of death would show me what I'm really like and I may turn out to be a coward, who knows.
One thing I do know is that one of the things that really put me off back in the days when I was considering joining the RAF is that I can't stand taking orders, when people ask me to do things and they happen to be things I like, think are a good idea or was going to do anyway it's all good, when it's none of those things I won't do it..sooooo, ehhh.
Then again, if we had the kind of government that would shoot you if you didn't "Do your duty" then I'd probably go for it out of that whole self preservation thing.
But you know you're pretty buggered when your army's suffering so many losses that they're having to draft an inexperienced civilian force to fight a war.

Well, since I'm female, the draft is pretty much a non-issue for me (which I disagree with, equal rights imply equal responsibility), and I'm not physically fit for combat -- I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine), so I can't do anything that risks messing up my back any more. (Although, like The Man, the ADD doesn't help... I'm a total space cadet if I don't get my medication, and it rules me out for anything involving piloting or driving.) If I were fit enough for combat, however, I'd go if I were drafted; unless the reasons for fighting were justified on the level of say, WWII, I wouldn't agree with it, but I'd feel obligated to go being a U.S. citizen and all. As it stands, I'd be far more useful in a chemical weapons laboratory (especially after my engineering degree is done) or as a code breaker (or whatever it is that they use people with math degrees for) than in active combat. There again, I'd go if drafted, albeit begrudgingly.
