TO DISCUSS THE RPG GO HERE

I obtained RPG Maker 2003 a while back and have been toying with it, and i've pretty much mastered the actions and such, so I think it would be a cool idea to make a Gaming Extreme RPG. In this RPG, all of the characters, Playable and NPC will be members from this community. Now, since theres a limited amount of party members you can have, only the mods, smods, and admins will be party characters. However, even if your character is not a party member, they can still have major roles in the storyline.

I will be the one who puts all the parts of this game together. Every person that helps (with the story or with the maps) will recieve full credit, and a guarenteed spot as an important character in the game (since there are limits spots)

I am in need of a co-producer to help me actually put the game together (cinematics and gameplay and such) who is talented with RPG Maker 2003. I also need someone to help me with teh game Dialogue, someone who is talented with writing scripts and such.

I need anyone who wants to be an NPC (or any mod or smod that wants to be a party member / villan) to Sign up in this thread. They must have a sprite for their character (in a sprite sheet, if you don't know what that is see the sheet attached to this thread) and a MIDI for their theme music.

This thread is for signing up as a character or a map maker only, if you are signing up as a character you must have the following things attached:

- Character Sprite Sheet
- Theme MIDI for your Character


If you are signing up as a map maker you must have prior experience with RPG Maker 2003. This RPG will take a long time to make, so do not expect it to be finished before Spring 2004.

Everyone that posted their MIDI and Sprites previously will have to post them again

I'll be a map designer. What exactly are we going for here? futuristic, modern, middle age, what? also. I'll be a sprite designer, I've been using 32 bit-sprites for years now, and if you look at my bio, you can tell by my occupation what I do. the sprites I'll get right on. the maps, I'll wait your info.

King Bahamut: Yes you can be an NPC, and for NPCs you don't have to chose a sprite if you don't want to, I have a large database of sprites, so I will just chose one for you if you'd like

Ultima-X: That sprite is too large, and it isnt FF6 style.

well, there are 2 problems really. 1 i don't have msn, i have aim but msn no matter how hard i try the norton blocks the program from connecting to the net. and I have rpg maker 2k. you can probbaly still use the maps, they may not be of the same quallity is all I'm saying. I'd also like to create an npc for myself (shouldn't be hard) and Ultima-X, that mega man sprite format won't get you anywhere. if you can make comics using it though go to www.bobandgeorge.com and more people will appreciate it for what it is.

Mistah Roth, if you give me a base sprite i can modify it pretty much any way you choose, but they take time.

If you have no form of messenger then I will just PM you with info and stuff, as for the sprites: I don't need normal sprites made, that is up to the person who wants to be in the game to find (you can open up a shop in the graphics forum if you want where you make sprites for people). What I need is battle sprites to match the normal sprites, look at the attachment, it has a sprite and a battle sprite - so for each person that will be a party member, I need a battle sprite made for them (only the party members need battle sprites).

As for the maps, I will give you details on the geography and such through PM.

Attached is an example of a normal sprite (top left corner) and then two other sprite sheets are actions for the battle sprite.

Hey Roth, if theres any extra room, wanna make me a NPC? Hekll if all else fails can I be a badguy? If its alright ill post a sprite sheet.
